Despite the clear objectives and legally binding timelines established in the TEN-T Regulation, implementation remains slower than required to meet these targets.

This position paper analyses the challenges and identifies key areas for improvement to simplify permitting procedures and ensure that rail infrastructure projects can be delivered within the timelines required to meet EU objectives.
