CER Summer Cocktail 2026

On 24 June, the CER Summer Cocktail gathered representatives from the European rail sector, policymakers and transport stakeholders in Brussels.

MEP Andreas Schieder and MEP Andrey Novakov addressed participants, highlighting the European Parliament’s ongoing efforts to support a competitive transport network across Europe.

The event also provided an opportunity to hear from Kristian Schmidt, Director for Land Transport at DG MOVE, who reviewed the progress achieved through the European Commission’s collaboration with the rail sector over the past few years.

CER Executive Director Alberto Mazzola expressed his appreciation for the continued cooperation across the rail sector and took the opportunity to reaffirm to the European Commission the sector’s commitment to working in partnership to advance rail transport throughout Europe.
