CER ÖBB Essay Debate 'European Railway Infrastructure as Strategic Investment'

Published in collaboration with ÖBB, the essay 'Laying Tracks for Growth: European Railway Infrastructure as Strategic Investment' highlights the strategic importance of investing in European railway infrastructure to revitalise the European Union's economic potential.
ÖBB CEO and CER Chair, Andreas Matthä, alongside Professor Christian Helmenstein, presented the essay's findings, opening a debate with MEPs on how railways serve as a dual-purpose investment advancing both economic and environmental objectives.
The debate was kindly hosted by MEP Sophia Kircher and MEP Martine Kemp at the European Parliament.
