CER Fact Sheet: The Trans-European Network for Transport: joined up mobility for a connected Europe

With pressure mounting to meet Green Deal objectives and reduce transport-related greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2050, resilient rail infrastructure is the basis for the green transport transformation. In this CER Fact Sheet we take a look at the Trans-European Network for Transport (TEN-T). Offering a joined-up approach to mobility, the TEN-T plays an important role in transport infrastructure planning and development, with many positive impacts for the environment and the economy. Rail is a vital component of the TEN-T. A strong and attractive rail network can serve as the backbone of a sustainable transport ecosystem for generations to come.
