Just after the Easter break, the CER General Assembly met in Paris on 3 May 2011 and decided unanimously to continue the election procedure for the new Executive Director until the next CER General Assembly to take place on 12 September 2011. The reason behind is that none of the presented candidates could secure sufficiently strong and broad support among CER members. The presented candidates will remain on the list of candidates for 12 September 2011. The deadline for potential additional candidates is 15 July 2011.
