The Hungarian Presidency and CER in co-operation with the EPP and Greens/EFA Group have invited experts from the EU institutions and the rail sector to reflect on a number of relevant questions. European transport stakeholders are waiting for the publication of the proposal for the new guidelines for the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). With this proposal, the European Union will take its first step towards re-defining the shape of EU transport networks.
- What will the core TEN-T network look like?
- To what extent will calls for a greener Europe affect the definition of the network?
- What will be the role of rail?
- What can the rail sector expect from the proposal?
We will try to answer these questions on Wednesday 13 April from 18:00 to 20:00 in the Representation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia to the European Union at Rue Montoyer 47, with the presence of:
- MEP Adam Kósa, EPP Group, Hungary
- MEP Eva Lichtenberger, Greens/EFA Group, Austria
- Pál Völner, Secretary of State for Infrastructure – Hungarian Ministry of National Development
- Zoltan Kazatsay, Deputy Director General DG MOVE, European Commission
- László Mosóczi, MÁV Deputy Executive Director
The debate will be moderated by Robert Wright from the Financial Times.
